Ms. Masirah Al-Enezi began her journey with AlSadu Society in 2014, when she joined a specialized Sadu weaving course organized in collaboration with the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training. That experience marked a turning point, introducing her to the artistic and cultural value of traditional weaving and to a creative environment that encouraged growth and innovation.
Over time, Masirah became a key figure in the Society’s leadership and representation, contributing both locally and internationally through impactful initiatives that strengthened AlSadu’s presence in the craft sector.
In 2019, she played a leading role in developing the Insij Program, under the guidance of Sheikha Bibi Duaij Al-Jaber. Her work included designing educational content and crafting a modern weaving loom suited for contemporary use. She currently leads the Insij Diwaniya, a community platform that fosters ongoing learning and exchange among program graduates.
Her contributions extended beyond Kuwait, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, when she produced video tutorials for refugee women in Jordan to sew cloth masks, enabling them to generate income during difficult times. She also led in-person training for a refugee production unit in Egypt, supporting broader economic empowerment goals.
Regionally, Masirah has participated in training programs in Riyadh, Madinah, and Sharjah, in collaboration with cultural and development organizations. These efforts reflect AlSadu Society’s commitment to sharing knowledge, preserving heritage, and empowering women artisans.
Through her dedication and creativity, Ms. Masirah Al-Enezi exemplifies the vital role of traditional craft in shaping empowered, resilient communities.
