CHILDREN

Fun with Textiles
AlSadu Society runs various textile workshops for kids to learn the art and further develop their creative skills in a stimulating environment.

Children are introduced to the beauty of textile arts in all its forms, both traditional and contemporary.

Our Fun with Textiles program has been running for more than 10 years!

FUN WITH TEXTILES

Fun with Textiles is a 1-day Workshop that takes place twice a month on Saturdays at Sadu House, beginning in September of every month to May of the following year.

Children between the ages of 7 and 13 are introduced to the beauty of textile arts in all its forms, traditional and contemporary.

Each workshop has a maximum of twelve children led by two instructors and volunteers to ensure close attention and dedication.

Our instructors are experienced teachers and artists who will pass on the basic skills and knowledge of textiles and weaving to children in an engaging manner.

Our workshops are a pleasurable and enriching way for children to spend their Saturdays and return home with newly learnt skills and artwork.

JUNIOR SCHOOL OF TEXTILES

Students will learn new skills such as weaving, embroidery, macrame and printing patterns and will initially work on individual projects. This allows them to gradually gain knowledge and confidence to participate in a joint group project by the end of the course.

Fall Course September to December Spring Course January until March.

To celebrate the student’s hard work and creativity, an annual Exhibition at the end of the Spring is held to showcase the children’s work.
