Noura Al-Ali has practised the art of quilting for over eleven years, transforming her passion into a distinguished journey. She earned her official training certification in South Africa, and today, she dedicates her expertise as a committed trainer and an active member of the Kuwait Textile Arts Association (KTAA).

Noura’s contributions to the KTAA reflect a deep commitment to community engagement. She played a significant role in two prominent projects. The first involved her continuous efforts in reaching out to donors and her contribution to documenting the AlDhefra book. In this project, she conducted interviews with donors and crafted thoughtful messages of gratitude that honour their generosity and highlight the value of the donated woven pieces, now preserved and displayed at Sadu House for generations to come.

Noura expresses great pride in these experiences, stating that the most rewarding part was being part of something that will endure for many years. She feels deeply grateful for having contributed to making this valuable knowledge accessible to the public, serving as a source of inspiration for younger generations to continue the tradition of Sadu weaving, while embracing innovation to safeguard this rich cultural heritage.
