The Shaima Art

Shaima is an artist by inheritance

Her father is the late artist Hussein Ashkanani

Who taught her from an early age the arts of drawing and shaping

Her father was keen to teach her artistic upbringing, giving her the means and supporting her to become a visual artist and continue his artistic legacy.

The visual artist Shaima made her way and learned the basics of art and abstraction, she participated in local and international exhibitions, and held several personal exhibitions such as the “Feelings exhibition” in the year 2008 and

“The Talk of Women” in 2015, “The Secrets of the Self “ in 2019 and the exhibition of “Crafts” in 2021 also the exhibition “Consciousness and No Consciousness” in 2022

She has also recently turned to calligraphy, reflecting her passion for research and abstraction, producing Arabic crafts through colors, weaving creative masterpieces from them.

Shaima received several awards, including:

Spring Festival Award and Qurain Festival Award in 2015, 2016, 2017

She has acquired her works for many government and private entities in the state of Kuwait, some banks, institutions and individuals

She also participated in several international exhibitions
